Cara Nic Giolla Chomhaill

Cara is originally from Carrickore, Co. Tyrone. She has been living in Dublin since 2019 and started working as clár-reachtaire with Raidió na Life in January 2025.

She has extensive experience with the Irish language world in Dublin and across the country, having been an active member of an Cumann Gaelach in Trinity College Dublin while undertaking a BA in Modern Irish and History.

She has worked as an executive officer with Céad Míle Fáilte, a Conradh na Gaeilge programme focused on bringing the Irish language to Ireland’s new communities, and as a co-ordinator with Gaeilge24. She received the award for Volunteer of the Year for Leinster at Ard-Fheis Chonradh na Gaeilge in 2025 for her work as chairperson of Club Chonradh na Gaeilge.
