Ola Majekodunmi grew up in Dublin, having been born in Nigeria. She started working with Raidió na Life during Summer 2014 after finishing her Leaving Certificate. She presented An Meangadh Beag at first before presenting the Saturday chart show Seinnliosta an tSathairn for 5 years. She now presents Afra-Éire. Ola has a Masters Degree in Digital Broadcast Production from the National Film School in IADT. She is a co-founder of ‘Beyond Representation’, an initiative that helps celebrate the achievements of women of colour in Ireland. She directed her first video-documentary, What Does “Irishness” Look Like? in 2018, which went viral. She is a contributor to the Motherfoclóir podcast, and she can regularly be heard and seen across various media platforms in Ireland.
