About The Show: The first heavy metal radio show ever to be presented through the Irish Language, Scrios Agus Ár has been airing on Raidió na Life since 2001, when the station's current manager, Muiris Ó Fiannachta (then a volunteer with the station) established the show at a time when very little attention was being paid to the metal community by most radio stations in Dublin.
Since then, Roibeárd Ó Bugaill, singer with Mael Mórdha spent a while as presenter of the show, before Dermot Frost came on the scene. Dermot spent 5 years with the show, and in April 2009 Muiris returned as presenter to the programme he established almost 10 years ago, making it the longest running metal show on air on Irish radio. All styles of metal (heavy metal, death, black, doom, thrash, grind etc) as well as some rock and some punk are played on the show.
