Since the station’s foundation as a community (of interest) radio station serving the Irish-speaking population of Dublin and surrounding counties, volunteering has been and remains a fundamental element of Raidió na Life’s broadcasting ethos.
All our presenters work on a voluntary basis, along with a large number of volunteer researchers, assistants, producers, technicians etc. Our volunteers are our backbone. Without them, the station would not exist.

PLEASE NOTE: Irish is the working language of Raidió na Life both on and off the air. While we may from time to time consider proposals for programmes which would be presented in a foreign language, the vast majority of programmes are presented solely in Irish and a relatively strong level of fluency in the language is a requirement for volunteering with the station.
