Oireachtas na Samhna, the biggest Irish language festival of the year will return to the Kingdom and Raidió na Life will broadcast live from the festival headquarters of “An Nead/The Nest” in the lobby of the Gleneagle Hotel, Killarney, Co. Kerry from 02-04 November 2017.

Live reports from the competitions and events will be broadcast, including special coverage of this years Oireachtas na Gaeilge Media Awards, which will feature in a special programme to be broadcast on Thursday 02 November 2017 between 8-9pm on Raidió na Life 106.4FM.

Raidió na Life will host a joint live broadcast with our colleagues from Belfast community radio station Raidió Fáilte, on Friday 03 November from 12-2pm and this show will feature news from the competitions, live song and music as well as interviews with contestants, participants, visitors and supporters of the festival. All visitors to the festival will be welcome to pop in and participate in this lively show!

Visitors to the festival are also invited to participate in a special edition of current affairs show, Iarnóin, presented by Barra Mac Aodh Bhuí agus Cormac Breathnach. Iarnóin Beo ó Oireachtas na Samhna will discuss the most pressing political and social issues relevant to the Irish language and Gaeltacht community along with the biggest news stories from Oireachtas na Samhna festival.
