A dark comedy by Pól Ó Muirí to be broadcast on Raidió na Life
Ireland in the future. Global warming has laid waste to the country. Most of the traditional Gaeltacht areas have been destroyed. The country is overcrowded due to large numbers of people fleeing their own homes around the world. But, one man is striving to keep his cultural treasures safe: Frank Frankie Rua.
‘Heileo Houston!’ is an exciting radio play by Pól Ó Muirí, that poses pertinent questions about language and the environment, in a new, imaginative way. The play will be broadcast on Monday 6th May at 14:30 and repeated on Tuesday 7th May at 20:00.
Cast is as follows: Diarmuid de Faoite, Eoghan Mac Giolla Bhríde, Deirdre Learmont and Mícheál Ó Gruagáin. Cathal Póirtéir produced the play and sound editing was by Fearghal Saxe.
