About The Show: Scéalta na Gaeltachta is a magazine programme which focusses on current events and news from the Gaeltachtaí. The programme has been on the go since the early days of the station, with the aim of bringing people who are originally from the Gaeltacht but now living in Dublin, as well as those who have an interest in the Gaeltachtaí, up to speed on the latest stories from those areas in one single half-hour programme. Each week a wide variety of topics are discussed, ranging from politics to educational matters, news items, cultural events and concerts, local controversies, local success stories, and a lot lot more. The programme strives to bring our audience news from as many different Gaeltachtaí in the country as is possible.
